Global Logistics Management and Strategic Procurement anchor the required half of Wayne State's 9-credit Global Supply Chain Management concentration, part of the 36-credit M.B.A. at the Mike Ilitch School of Business. The remaining 3 credits come from an elective list that includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain Analytics, Auto Industry Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Supply Chain Management, and a study abroad option. You can take the M.B.A. as a traditional program with in-person and online courses on the Detroit campus or as a 100% online degree, and online students are charged Michigan resident tuition regardless of where they live. The school offers GMAT or GRE waivers to highly qualified applicants who show a strong GPA or several years of relevant professional experience. The graduate business rate is $1,005.13 a credit hour if you live in Michigan and $2,014.90 if you don't, plus a per-semester registration fee.
Wayne State's Mike Ilitch School of Business awards a Bachelor of Arts in Global Supply Chain Management that follows the flow of goods and information from component sources through distribution channels to the final customer. The 120-credit degree includes an 18-credit major core: Logistics and Transportation Strategy, Strategic Procurement, Production Planning and Control, Principles of Quality Management, and Global Supply Chain Analysis and Planning, plus one elective. Elective choices include ERP Systems and Business Integration, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Analytics, Healthcare Supply Chain Management, Customs Administration and High Tech Purchasing, Project Management, study abroad, and an internship. The school strongly encourages two or three additional supply chain courses and advises majors to take the internship.
