No GMAT or GRE score is required, and the college connects students to its Global Logistics RoundTable, a group of supply chain executives from companies including Chick-fil-A and The Home Depot.

Purdue's Daniels School of Business runs its Master of Science in Global Supply Chain Management fully online, with 30 credit hours finished in 1.5 to 2.5 years. You start with 5 credits of foundations in operations and project management, then take 12 core credits covering supply chain analytics, strategic sourcing and procurement, advanced manufacturing management, and ethical and sustainable supply chains. The other 13 credits are electives, such as Python programming or data mining, and you can fill them by completing one of the school's graduate certificates. Tuition is $748 per credit hour for out-of-state and international students and $728 for Indiana residents, after a cut of more than 30% that began with the fall 2026 semester. All courses in Penn State's online Master of Supply Chain Management are asynchronous, with optional live discussions for students who want them. The 30-credit degree, offered through World Campus with the Smeal College of Business, covers supply management, supply chain analysis, operations management and demand fulfillment, and supply chain transformation and innovation. It closes with a capstone, SCM 850: Supply Chain Design and Strategy. Four of the core courses also satisfy a 12-credit graduate certificate in supply chain management. Tuition is $1,167 per credit for 2026-27. Most students finish in 20 to 28 months, and you can start in spring, summer, or fall. You'll need at least two years of relevant work experience, and GRE and GMAT scores aren't required.

Both close with a Lean Six Sigma capstone, registered as a certified training provider for the Council of Six Sigma Certification, which the school says positions graduates to pursue a Green Belt from the American Society of Quality. Online classes meet live over Zoom with self-paced weekly coursework in between. Estimated tuition for either format runs $62,580 for the 2026-27 academic year. GMAT and GRE scores are optional, and online students can start in fall, spring, or summer. On-campus graduates have gone on to employers including Aldi, Amazon, and Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Supply chain work is logistics work, and much of it runs on the same skills the services train: moving people and material on
a schedule, keeping stock accounted for, planning around what can go wrong. The civilian job closest to it is logistician.
BLS counts 251,040 logisticians nationwide at a median of $82,320 (May 2025),

The federal executive branch employs more logisticians than any other industry BLS reports. 33,470 of them, 13% of the national total, work there, at a median of $104,350
(May 2025). The branch includes the Department of Defense’s civilian workforce.
Supply chain managers are counted among transportation, storage and distribution managers, whose median is
$107,230. The logistician salary page has pay by state and metro.
How The GI Bill Pays For A Supply Chain Degree
The Post-9/11 GI Bill pays tuition and fees straight to the school. At the full benefit level it covers in-state tuition at a
public school; at a private school, and for out-of-state students at a public one, it pays up to a national maximum the VA
sets each year. The Yellow Ribbon Program covers the gap above that maximum: the school agrees to pay part or all of it, and
the VA matches the school’s share. Each agreement sets a dollar amount per student and a number of students, for a degree
level and a division of the school, which is why this page checks both before it lists a program.
Across the 119 schools here, the VA counts 62,340 students paid under the Post-9/11 GI Bill in its latest
year, 3,644 of them with a Yellow Ribbon payment on top.
Credit For Military Training
107 of the 119 schools tell the VA they award academic credit for military training. Credit comes from your Joint
Services Transcript, which lists the courses and occupational experience the American Council on Education has evaluated for
college credit. Each school decides how much of it counts toward its own degree and where it counts.
Ask for a transcript evaluation before you enroll, and compare it with the transfer limits the schools state on the
online degree ranking. Every credit that transfers is one your
GI Bill entitlement doesn’t have to pay for.
Studying Online While You Serve
59 of the programs on this page can be taken online, 28 bachelor’s, 21 master’s and
10 MBAs, which is what makes a degree workable around duty stations and deployments. While you serve, Tuition
Assistance from your branch is the usual way to pay, and it only works at schools that have signed the Department of Defense’s
Tuition Assistance agreement: 106 of the 119 here have. The GI Bill’s monthly housing allowance is lower for
fully online study, so for veterans a program with some campus classes can pay out more.
Where Veterans Already Study
How many GI Bill students a school already has says something about whether its offices know how to handle your benefits.
These are the 10 schools on this page with the most students paid under the Post-9/11 GI Bill, by the VA’s
count. 16 of the 119 schools have a VetSuccess on Campus counselor, a VA staff member based at the school, and
93 have a student veterans group.

What To Check Before You Enroll
A Yellow Ribbon agreement names a number of places, and a school can fill them. Ask the school certifying official whether a
place is open for your program and start term, and whether the agreement covers online study. 75 of these
119 schools have signed the 8 Keys to Veterans’ Success, a federal set of commitments to support veterans on campus,
and 105 follow the Principles of Excellence, which set rules for how schools recruit and bill students using military
benefits. The school’s full record is in the GI Bill Comparison Tool.
How We Ranked Supply Chain Degrees For Military And Veterans
The programs are the ones on this site’s bachelor’s, master’s and MBA rankings, each checked on the school’s own page. Each
school was matched to its VA record by its federal IPEDS identifier, never by name. A program is listed when the school has a
Yellow Ribbon agreement for the program’s degree level (or all levels) that covers the whole school or its business school,
and the VA shows no caution flag for the school.
Each program scores out of 100, within its own level’s list. For a bachelor’s the weights are yellow ribbon contribution 30%, veteran support 25%, credit for military training 20%, in-state tuition and fees 25%; for a master’s
or MBA, yellow ribbon contribution 30%, veteran support 25%, credit for military training 20%, total tuition 25%. The Yellow Ribbon contribution and the price score as percentiles within the list, an agreement with
no cap scoring highest and a lower price scoring higher. Credit for military training scores 100 or 0. Veteran support counts
five commitments the VA records for the school: the 8 Keys to Veterans’ Success, the Principles of Excellence, the DoD
Tuition Assistance agreement, a student veterans group and a VetSuccess on Campus counselor.
A bachelor’s is priced on the school’s in-state tuition from IPEDS, since the GI Bill covers in-state tuition at public
schools; a master’s or MBA on the program total its page states. A program needs a Yellow Ribbon agreement and at least
2 factors to be ranked, and a missing factor is left out and the rest scaled up, never filled in. The full method
is on the methodology page.
FAQ
Can You Use The GI Bill For A Supply Chain Management Degree?
Yes, at a school approved for VA education benefits. 142 of the accredited supply chain programs ranked on this site are at schools whose Yellow Ribbon agreement covers the program’s level, according to the VA’s GI Bill Comparison Tool.
What Does The Yellow Ribbon Program Add?
Post-9/11 GI Bill tuition payments are capped at private schools and for out-of-state students at public ones. A Yellow Ribbon school agrees to cover some or all of the rest, and the VA matches what the school pays. Each agreement sets how much per student and for how many students.
Does Military Experience Count Toward A Supply Chain Degree?
At many schools, yes. 107 of the 119 schools on this page tell the VA they award academic credit for military training. How much transfers depends on your Joint Services Transcript and the school’s own evaluation, so ask for one before you enroll.
Can You Study For A Supply Chain Degree While On Active Duty?
Yes. 59 of the programs here can be taken online, and 106 of the 119 schools have signed the Department of Defense’s Tuition Assistance agreement, which is what lets service members use Tuition Assistance there.
What Jobs Does A Supply Chain Degree Lead To After The Military?
Logistician is the closest civilian job: BLS counts 251,040 of them at a median of $82,320 (May 2025), with 17.6% growth projected over 2025-35. 33,470 of them work in the federal executive branch, at a median of $104,350.
What Does “no limit” Mean In The Tables?
It is how the VA records an agreement with no cap: “No limit” per student means the school has not capped its contribution, and “No limit” places means it has not capped how many students it covers.
