Scranton's supply chain management major is offered by the Operations and Analytics Department in the AACSB-accredited Kania School of Management. The major requires three courses, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, and Production Planning and Control, plus three electives chosen from Business Process Overview, Project Management in Organizations, Electronic Business and Entrepreneurship, Business Forecasting Models, and Data Mining. Classes use Excel, statistical, and simulation software, and students visit regional companies such as a Walmart distribution center and Flowserve Corporation. You can network through the Operations and Analytics Club and the NEPA chapter of APICS, pursue paid internships with local organizations like Tobyhanna Army Depot, and build foundational knowledge for certifications such as CPIM, CSCP, and CLTD. Kania students also complete the Center for Professional Development's Passport activities, which cover interviewing, internship and job search strategies.
