Global supply chain management at BYU's Marriott School of Business is a 64-credit-hour major with limited enrollment, admitting up to 135 students each fall to start GSCM coursework together. The program runs as a three-semester sequence: a required core of classes in the first semester, program electives in the second, and a required capstone alongside remaining requirements in the third. Most students take about 15 credits a semester after admittance and finish in three or four semesters. Coursework builds managerial decision-making through realistic supply chain scenarios, team-based problem solving, and technology and data-analysis skills layered onto supply chain frameworks. Graduates are prepared for purchasing, inventory and supplies, logistics and transportation, quality, and operations roles. Students are strongly encouraged, though not required for credit, to complete an internship the spring or summer after their first year in the program.
Utah's Operations and Supply Chain major at the David Eccles School of Business is selective: you first gain upper-division status in the school, finish prerequisites including OSC 3050 and OSC 3440, and then apply. The 2025-26 criteria list a 3.2 total GPA and a B or higher in OSC 3050 and in college algebra, with committee review for students holding a 3.0 total or business GPA. The 2026-27 major checklist covers a 12-credit core of Advanced Operations and Supply Chain, Practical Management Science, Project Management, and Operations in Practice, a 3-credit Global Supply Chain Management course, and 9 elective credits from options like Six Sigma for Managers, Operations Strategy, and Database Fundamentals. The program includes a capstone internship and preparation for PMP and Six Sigma certifications. A $175 per-semester program fee applies.
Weber State's BS in Supply Chain Management is offered by the Department of Supply Chain and Management Information Systems in the AACSB-accredited John B. Goddard School of Business and Economics in Ogden. The program dates to 1969, and the endowed Jerry and Vickie Moyes Center for Supply Chain Excellence supports research and experiential learning. The degree takes 120 credit hours. Before most upper-division courses you complete seven Business Foundations courses and gain formal admission to the Goddard School, which requires a 2.5 GPA in those courses. Every graduate in Utah Valley University's Operations and Supply Chain Management, B.S. program must sit for a professional certification exam in Domo, Lean, Six Sigma, or project management, then complete an internship or independent study applying what they've learned. The program runs fully online in a 120-credit curriculum covering scheduling, forecasting and inventory management, operations simulation, supply chain and logistics management, management science and optimization, and strategic operational planning.
